1. Explain how you changed your photo in the lab to create a stencil.
In the photoshop lab we used threshold to make it black and white and then we contrasted it until it made the best black and white picture possible.
2. When creating the collage background explain your choices of colors, materials (magazine paper, books pages, etc), and placement. How does it relate to your topic? If no relation discuss general idea.
For my collage my vision was something very simple because I wanted to make sure that the stencil was most focused on when you looked at my picture. So to do that I chose to do a simple white background with fading colors for the actual stencil. And then for the composition layout of my picture I placed my stencil in the middle of the cardboard.

3. Discuss the way positive and negative space was used to create your stencil.
Well the stuff we cut out created the negative space because that was what wasnt there anymore and the positive space is what was left after everything was cut out.

4. When using the xacto knife, explain the safety procedures, how to use the knife and any challenges you had to overcome while cutting.
When using the xacto knife you have to cut away from you because the xacto knife is super sharp and can cut skin really easily. During the cutting process I did actually cut myself and it bled a lot so I had to put a band-aid on it and keep working.

5. How was your experience with the spray paint? Discuss how color choice is important, placement of stencil, and any other concepts you noticed while creating this. I really enjoyed the spray painting part of this project because it was the easiest and most simple part. I chose to do fading colors because I wanted to do something cool on my white background.
